EVENT RECYCLING

Council has introduced public place recycling at all major events. This has proved to be extremely successful. The significant outcomes of this initiative have been

• Litter not contained in bins was negligible
• High number of litter and recycling bins increased set-up costs, but reduced clean-up costs and time and environmental impact.
• Contamination rate of recyclate was just 6%
