PUBLIC PLACE RECYCLING

Significant attention has been placed on promoting recycling in the home, however when residents leave the home, there is limited opportunity to continue that recycling theme. In order to support the continuing involvement of a community committed to the principles of waste minimisation and reduction, a natural progression is the introduction of a public place recycling scheme, both in selected permanent locations. In Townsville Public Place recycling bins have been placed on the Strand, Flinders Mall, Flinders Street East, Inner city precinct and Gregory Street.
